On the road again! Jälleen tien päällä!

Olemme jälleen hiukan matkanneet, nyt vain noin 300 km ja nähneet yhtä sun toista. Cordes sur Ciel, eli Cordesin kylä taivaissa oli käymisen arvoinen paikka. kapusimme ylös ”taivaisiin” ja tutustuimme kylän antimiin. Pieniä kauppoja, paljon käsitöitä ja paikallisia tuotteita esillä. Harmillista, että juuri tämä päivä oli harmaa ja sateinen, joten kylä ei päässyt oikeuksiinsa valokuvissamme. Roquefortin kylästä ostimme luonnollisesti kuuluisaa Roquefortin juustoa ja sen kanssa sopivaa punaviiniä. Näkymät sieltä olivat myös hulppeat.

Millaun silta osui matkamme varrelle ja kävimme sitä ihastelemassa sen juurella, sekä ylitimme sillan myös autolla. Korkein pilari oli 221 metriä pitkä ja pituutta sillalla oli yli kolme kilometriä. Kylläpä tunsi itsensä pieneksi sen juurella!

Ajoimme läpi upean maisema reitin, Gorges du Tarnin. Reitti on arviolta 50 km pitkä, mutta sen ajamiseen tarvitsee ainakin yhden kokonaisen päivän. Vähän väliä piti pysähtyä ihastelemaan maisemia. Paras tapa tutustua reittiin olisi polkupyörä, silloin on helppo pysähtyä kaikkiin haluamiin paikkoihin ja saisi reitistä vielä enemmän irti. Reitin varrelle oli lukuisia leirintäalueita ja mekin jäimme yhteen niistä pariksi yöksi. Leirintäpaikkamme oli suoraan joen rannalla ja automme oli vajaan kahden metrin päästä joesta. Kuulimme mahtavaa veden pauhua tauotta ja näkymät eivät olisi voineet hienommat olla 15 eurolla per yö. Teimme päivän kävelyretken ylös vuorille ja koiramme oli matkasta haltioissaan! Maastoa, jossa hän on omassa elementissään, isäntäväkeä tuo matka otti enemmän voimille, mutta retki oli antoisa! Tänne ehdottomasti uudelleen, suosittelemme!

We have been on the road again and seen many interesting things. Been in this picturesque village “Cordes sur Ciel”, means Cordes in the sky, a village top of the mountain. There you could buy local products and loads of handwork items. We visited famous cheese town Roquefort and naturally bought some cheese and a bottle of red wine which fit with it! We passed bridge of Millau and it was enormous! Highest pillar is 221 meter high and its 3 km long. How small can a human be next to this bridge!

We took a beautiful scenery route “Gorges du Tarn” which is about 50 km long. Best way would be to drive this road with a bicycle, you could see so much more and stop where ever you like. With car you can easily spend one day for this route, there is so much to see! There are many campings on this road and we took one for two nights. Perfect spot, straight next to the river and water was clean! We made there a day trip to the cliffs and our doggy was so happy for the climbing. Absolutely beautiful place and we can recommend this road to everyone!
