Welcome to Sahara! Road to Merzouga, a small sand storm was blowing the day we arrived.

Our trip with the 4x4 had just started, Ali is the driver and Said our guide.

Next morning woke up to see the sunrise, climbed up the dunes to see it, after we had breakfast nicely served outside, thanks Said :)!

Next day we visited with the 4x4 still some interesting places like this Gnaua- village. These people came originally from Sudan generations ago and they can make nice music! We enjoyed their drumming and dancing in beatiful surroundings.

Big palmerie in Zagora and on the right "Josep", nice boy who we met actually twice. Once when we left from Merzouga and did wild camping on the pist and few weeks later when we get back the same road, Josep came back to us. He was teaching us how to find fossiles.

See our new doormat (doggy from the Agds campsite) and on the right our "guides" in Alnif. We had a funny afternoon with these boys. We climbed up to the mountains and they were showing us how to find fossiles too!

We enjoyed our time in Sahara very much, southern Morocco is beautiful and people are mostly relaxed. We stayed one week in Merzouga, I told you already something about Merzouga in my last update. We left Merzouga behind us and left again to the west to see more from Sahara. We did some wild camping in beautiful spots, visited Zagora and the other known place in Sahara, place called MHamid. There we stayed only couple of days and continued to north to Agds. In Agds we stayed in a nice camping which had also a very old Kasbah and the people who are running the camping, they put all the money what is left over to renovate the Kasbah. Now they have been working ten years on it and creating also work in this way to the local people as they also get some volunteers to work on it. Was funny when we arrived in this camping, we straight saw the same Dutch people who we met in the Petit Prince camping in Merzouga. We had good time together and once again my boss made many new jewels for them (Thanks for the support!). We stayed there five days, did again some wild camping and arrived back in our favorite place, Auberge Petit Prince Merzouga. There you feel welcomed! Nice small peaceful campsite with friendly people and delicious food (Chef Hassan, 1000 times shukran!), with a beautiful location next to dunes. After a while you feel like being a member of the family and we were honored to visit with Mohammed his sister´s house at a village nearby, in Taouz and had a tea there and a long walk with Mohammed. Other day Said invited us to visit his home and the woman of the family had especially prepared to us vegetarian Berber pizza and it was delicious! It beats easily Italian pizza! Said has five brothers and four sisters, and many of the bothers works in Petit Prince too.
We really enjoyed our time (again) in Merzouga, but it was time to move again, since we only had couple of weeks left in Morocco and still some places to visit.

From Merzouga we drew once again to the north and stayed in Meski, in the camping Blue Source. It´s located in big palmerie and oasis. You can make nice walks over there and meet much local people and see them working on their green yards where they grow vegetables. There is also a very old Kasbah to visit. From there again more north north north, I´ll tell you more in the next update
